Listed below are actual testimonies from past and current members of Horses Forever. Some were written in 2007 and some after. Above all, we value our members not only as people who play the game, but who make HF what it is with the individual talents they bring. Without such wonderful members, HF would not be what it is today, let alone have been open and active for longer than any other horse sim game on the net. We are proud to call them our friends and to have them such a longterm part of our lives. Please read below what members truly feel about HF and why they chose our game. The testimonies are in no specific order; please enjoy reading them.

Horses Forever is a classic SIM game that offers a friendly, warm environment where each new member is sure to get an opportunity to focus on whichever breed/discipline they prefer and find welcoming, helpful members. Lacking in the social pressure of other games, Horses Forever is a fantastic place for new members to learn simming as well as refreshing for older simmers looking for a permanent home. I love being a part of a game with so many knowledgeable members who make up a large amount of diversity in the horse world; I truly enjoy the friends I have made in this fabulous game.

I've been playing SIM games for...gosh, probably six years. I won't go into my whole SIM history, but I will say that I've played in more games than I can count or even care to remember. And of all those games, I've played HF the longest. It took me a while to find my footing and my passion, but next month (July 2007) I will have been an active member for two years. So what makes HF so special? It's not any one thing, in my opinion. The members are incredible; we're all so diverse and open-minded, both in our focus in the game and as people. We have so many different opportunities, and I think it's easier in HF than in most games to introduce something completely new and turn it into a phenomenon. Just take a look at the different associations we have -- we have the Arabian Horse Association, the Morgan Horse Association, the Stock Horse Association; we have associations for dressage, racing, and driving. There just doesn't seem to be a limit on what you can do, and I think that's one of the best things about HF.

SIM Games were always a part of my life from the age of 10. I really got into them at about 13 though after getting my first horse. I played ONE game for about 8 years and then it shut down. I decided to search for a new one and found HF. And let me tell you it has been a great experience! I have made great friends, and had tons of fun! Even when real-life hits you hard, they still understand! It is a great community/family and a great game!

HF has to be the most wonderful simulation site that I have ever stumbled across. It surpassed my expectations as being realistic, and even surprised me with just how close some of the people were to each other, even though no one had really met face to face before. I met a lot of new people that were interested in me and what I had to say, and I didn't feel like I was just another member. Since then, I have gained a lot of knowledge and even some experience on topics that used to be a little bit foreign to me. Everyone is knowledgable and doesn't hesitate to lend a hand!

I've found this game to be fantastic just because of the people in it whom are so friendly and easy to talk to. A good way to make friends and share in the joy of horses at the same time. Very much like the other game I was in. And this August (approximately 2 months or so away from now) will mark the one year anniversary since I joined. Long live HF and may all its members continue to grow and prosper.

Horses Forever was my first Sim game, and will be my last (if that ever comes, haha). I joined it permanently in 1998, and have seen it through its ups and downs. I am proud to have played a large part in its history. HF is nothing without its members though, and we have (and still have!) some incredible members. Each person is unique and brings different ideas and a different perspective but we all have the same basic goals; to make HF ever better, to help and learn from each other, and to have FUN. It has certainly been a massive learning experience; I have learned more about disciplines, breeds, colors, ailments, image editing, HTML, and so much more than I would have otherwise not had the opportunity for. For me, HF is a place of solace as well; the members are my friends, and I have stayed in touch with them for much longer than my high school friends. This is a comfortable place where I can go away by myself, "play" with my horses, be away from the stresses of the real world, and interact with people who have the same general interests and understandings that I do. I've strayed from HF and joined other games in addition to HF only four times in nine years, first with Horseland (didn't last long), once with HF's offshoot game Equine Esteem until a couple months before it closed, once again with Ultimate Horse (which disappeared), and once again with Revolution Sim. Horses Forever is my favorite, has always been and always will be my priority. I feel most comfortable with HF, and it has such an aura of permanence and friendliness it's almost tangible. I am so very happy and grateful to the members we have for making it to this milestone of ten years. I have never heard of another game reaching this point. I am so very proud to be part of such a wonderful game.

I love HF! I joined after being out of the sim games for 2yrs. I found a game full of warm welcomes and active members. As soon as I created my first horses I was lost in the wonderful world of HF.

To me, this game has been more than a computer game of random people amongst billions in the world. Horses Forever, known as HF to it's members, has truely changed the person that I am. Not only can I now organize a notebook of 75+ horses and all of their information, I can balance a checkbook, and things of that order as well. More importantly, my communication skills, which are always needed in the "real world" have been improved, because through type, emotion is hard to show. I say "real world" in quotations because to me, HF though a simulation, is the Real World. My roommate at college next year is Candice. I met her on this game nearly five years ago (as of November, 2007). I would have never met her without the game, dispite the classes we have had together (which have been 100+ people large). I hope this game continues to inspire and move people the way it has me. This next decade is sure to see it's gains and it's losses, and it's sure to be better than the first!

I've been in HF a little over a year now and I haven't been a part of a better SIM game. The community of people is so diverse and I have met a lot of friends my past year here. I have played a pretty wide variety of SIM horse games, but none of them had the appeal that HF has for me and it ended up with me being a member for less than 6 months, on average. HF's member base is so colourful that you are bound to find friends and mentors alike. Every member contributes some sort of knowledge to HF to make this a very well-rounded and informative game, one that I have learned more in than any other game. Like it's member base, you are bound to find all types of horses in HF, whether it's the elusive Gypsy Vanners, the exotic Zebra hybrids, the elegant Arabians, or the speedy Thoroughbreds. But, if it's no in HF already, you are always encouraged to bring in even more diversity. The members and officers alike are always there to help and are always friendly, no matter how long you've been in the game. I've never been a part of a game as great as this and I plan on staying in HF as long as it's here.
